KL2545输出端子通过电源电压的脉宽控制来控制输出电流。它和k总线是电隔离的。电流值(0至±3.5 A)由自动化设备通过16位值指定。输出级有过载和短路保护。总线终端包含两个通道，通过发光二极管指示它们的信号状态。led通过显示典型的负载和接线故障来简化本地诊断。
